Feed Life + Trimming

by AutoAdmin

With single plant to grow, the effort needed to cultivate was reduced greatly and allow me to focus on the devices for the next few months.

Pretty much the most interaction I needed with the plant for the next two months besides pruning.

The closet o’ nutrients.

I feel in love with compost tea and have been using it a lot this grow.

Project Camera Lens

by AutoAdmin

I started working on an upgrade camera lens for the robotic arm and also the regular security cameras. These lens are very cheap and easy to buy online. They also give you 3 separate sizes for different options.

Measuring the new lens.

I got a varaity of colors.

Checking the UV coating.

The first mount ended up being for the 3D printer which broke constantly.

This was the first version mounted for the robotic arm. It slipped a bit and a custom mount was later built.

Project Breakdown

by AutoAdmin

Due to space issues and just wanting the beast out of the living area, I broke down the mixer and rebuilt it as a maker bench a few weeks later.

It was time to tear it down. It went quickly and into easy to manage pieces.

Broken casters were a bad design flaw. I needed to use larger ones with more weight load.

Wear Gloves

by AutoAdmin

I started some clones early October and noticed an issue that seems to occur. If I mix nutrients by hand without gloves then touch a cube mold grows. It seems to happen every time I make this mistake and a reminder to always wear and change gloves when handling the clones.

Seed Storage

by AutoAdmin

Ramping down growing cannabis for a while do to it’s time constraint and need to cycle through many early stage veg. Decided to prep the seeds I have for long term storage. Put them in the fridge for 48 hours to start in the back and then in a container in the freezer. They should last up to 6 years that way and it’s important to keep them in the back to prevent the temperature changing as much as possible.

Prepping for long term storage. In reality these canisters will also be wrapped inside a tupperware container.

A Full Grown Mess

by AutoAdmin

Around early fall the cool air makes it possible to grow upstairs again without running a full AC. In retrospect if you’re growing craft style I recommend not having the tent in the open living space. It’s a distraction and makes for bad company.

Time to move the tent upstairs.

4 very nice Amnesia Haze. I’ve been told they are super strong by the people that ended up taking them off my hands.

Sorting through the upstairs room.

Putting things into organized piles is key.

The upstairs did make a good spot for my summer clone space.

Organizing all the T5’s I started out with.

Getting the tent setup.

Did a flush of the plants a week later.

The downstairs restored to full health.

Time to break down the mixing machine for now.
