Gnats and Space Problems

by AutoAdmin

This grow had issues with bugs. Natural treatments were tried and failed resulting in a fogger fixing the problem at the expense of using harsh chemicals.

The veg room overflowing.

Bug treatment. Fungus gnat traps worked only so much.

The upstairs grew explosively.

The closet temp had issues when the door was closed. Lost a few clones.

Project 4 Port Power Jack

by AutoAdmin

The initial working prototype of the automated power system. The was a 4 port power jack, again constructed in a leftover Amazon delivery box I believe.

The first wiring of the 5v power supply.

Wiring the power control board up.

Everything running now time to integrate into enclosure.

Everything contained in the prototype box.

It closes very nicely.

Project Grow Cam

by AutoAdmin

The first grow cam was created out of cardboard and microprocessors. The camera streamed via RTMP back to the computer.

The completed camera. Sorry no WIP photos but it wasn’t a complex piece.

The video streaming back to the computer.

Camera watching the grow.

Watching inside the tent.

New Veg Room

by AutoAdmin

With the number of plants outgrowing the closet the next stage was to bring the tent back online and install it downstairs. A third light fixture was purchased and the tent setup.

The tent dragged downstairs.

All setup and installed.

New equipment purchased.

The old veg bulb from before.

Lights on ready for moving.

The plants outgrowing their closet space.

Moved in and happy.

Moved in and happy.

Keeps the light out from bothering but the sound of the fans running was annoying. Next time I will try something else.

Upstairs going strong.

The clone closet shut down.

The downstairs slowly turning into a grow.

Time to Replant

by AutoAdmin

A few weeks past and it was time to plant the clones. This would not be my last time growing so many but would be the last time I did this large of a repot. It was definately a challenge the first time around that had issues a few weeks later with over watering and temp.

The clones needed to be repoted and were looking a little weak.

Prepping the soil and containers.

I installed a larger light to cover all the plant canope.

Finally reported wit the weaker ones to the left. I didn’t mind a few dying off.

Treating water for the plants.

I like this micro root food. It helps greatly with the new plants.

A few days later and they are looking much happier and healthier.

Close up of a replant a day after.

Clones, lots of Clones

by AutoAdmin

The downstairs closet was converted over to a veg room again and I decided to try cloning out at a larger scale.

I wanted to make sure I could run all the lighting in my unit so I did a blueprint and mapped out the electrical system.

Setting up the closet for cloning.

Full setup with airflow.

There were a few strains and I wanted to make sure I recorded each.

New blade for the cut.

First clone.

A filled tray.

Grow Room Upgrade

by AutoAdmin

Around this time the 4×4 tent I was vegging in had reached capacity and it was time to upgrade. I decided to purchase a second 600W light and remove the tent. This was a large upgrade as it dedicated the entire room to the cultivation.

The veg tent filled and needing more room.

Stopped by the local hydroponic store and picked up some equipment.

Mounting the light hangers.

Getting everything moved around for the grow.

The first light hung behind the time as a space to bring the plants to.

Time to break the tent down.

The veg bulb removed from the fixture.

I picked up some good eye care as well.

Plants moved to new home under bloom light.

The last man standing.

Plants under bloom light.

The second light installed and running.

Creating a venting hole for the lighting.

Attaching an in line blower to vent.

I basically put everything into the old tent to store.
